The Friars are coming off a 19-12 season and looked locked in for a spot in the NCAA Tournament before the coronavirus shut down the season. They have lost guards Alpha Diallo and Luwane Pipkins, but there's still a lot of talent on this team and they have a good coach in Ed Cooley.

Fairfield is coming off a 12-20 season and returns two of its top-three scorers. That doesn't say much though as its offense was one of the worst in the nation, averaging just 58.0 points per game.

The Friars can pretty much name the score here, and I would be very surprised if they don't set the tone for the new season with a massive blowout.
