German (0-1, 9.00 ERA) was charged with three runs on four hits in three innings of a 3-1 loss to Toronto in his season debut, but he's an undefeated 3-0 in six career outings (five starts with a 4-1 team record) against Tampa Bay.

Rays righty Chris Archer (0-1, 13.50 ERA) was hit even harder than German in his first start of the season, surrendering three runs on four hits in only two innings of a 12-7 loss at Miami. Archer is 6-7 with a 3.14 ERA in 18 career starts against the Bronx Bombers who are very familiar with him.
