Good spot to back the St. Louis Cardinals to bounce back after producing only six hits in a 13-3 loss to the San Diego Padres on Saturday.
While Friar's left-hander Ryan Weathers (2-1, 0.81 ERA) has had a terrific start to the year, note that only a couple of his outings were as a starter. The Cards are hitting .267 against southpaws.
Left-hander Kwang-hyun Kim (1-0, 2.74 ERA) will take the ball for St. Louis. He has allowed one run in four straight starts and the team has won each of his five starts on the season. The Padres are hitting .211 against left-handers.
All in all, this is a great price on a road dog with a chip on its shoulder after being humiliated last time out.
