Chicago White Sox right-hander Lucas Giolito was 0-3 with a 5.16 ERA in five starts against Detroit last year. He was otherwise having a solid season, and I expect him to keep the Tigers in check here in the season opener for both teams. The Tigers hand the ball to left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez who is coming off a solid season with the Red Sox, but he struggled in day starts (5.12 ERA) and the White Sox are one of the stronger offensive teams in baseball.
