The Cubs have also dropped seven of their last 10 games, and left-hander Drew Smyly (1-2, 2.79 ERA) has been tagged with six runs on 11 hits (four home runs) over his last two starts.

The White Sox are 4-2 against left-handed starters and they are averaging 5.18 runs and only 2.6 strikeouts per nine innings against left-handers.
