The Mets might technically still have a shot at earning a Wild Card, but looking at their moves at the trade deadline it looks like they've pretty much given up on the season.

Mets righty Carlos Carrasco has been a huge disappointment and he gave up eight runs (six earned) over 2 1/3 innings against the Nationals in his last start. The Royals have won five in a row and righty Brady Singer struck out a season-high 10 over five innings in his last start. I like my chances on the Royals in this matchup.
