The Boston Red Sox opened this season with a 5-2 win, and I expect them to put a fair amount of runs on the board here as well against Texas starter Jack Leiter who went 0-3 with an 8.83 ERA in nine appearances (three starts) last season. I do think the Rangers will be competitive, though, facing Boston starter Tanner Houck who went 9-10 with a 3.12 ERA in 30 starts in 2024, and he has a 5.74 ERA in three career starts against Texas.
