The Giants hand the ball to left-hander Robbie Ray who was 3-0 with a 1.86 ERA in five spring training starts, while the Reds counter with Nick Martinez who was 1-1 with a 2.25 ERA in four appearances during spring training.

In 2024, Ray posted an unimpressive 4.70 ERA over his seven starts for the Giants before being shut down with a hamstring strain in August, but he's typically a reliable strikeout machine who can hold off the Reds.
