(MLB) Seattle vs. Colorado,

Result: Win

The set-up: Coors Field is a difficult venue for pitchers. While Antonio Senzatela has been far from perfect this season, I still think he'll have more than enough to ouduel his younger counterpart today. The Mariners send Christian Bergman to the hill on Friday night.
The teams: Bergman was recalled from Triple-A Tacoma to make this spot start, taking Felix Hernandez's turn in the rotation. That's a pretty obvious downgrade
Senzatela is so far 3-2 with a 5.34 ERA. He most recently gave up six runs over six innings in a loss to Seattle last weekend. Previous to that the 23-year old had gone seven shutout innings in a victory over the Giants. It's not like he was great "down on the farm" (4.78 ERA in 18 starts). Bergman also is no stranger to pitching here at Coors Field, having been on the Rockies' roster from 2014-16. Unfortunately, those starts never went well as he has a 6.69 ERA in 30 appearances here.
The pick: Note that Senzatela has in fact been better at home (2-0, 3.52 ERA) than on the road this season (1-2, 7.20) I think Bergman stumbles in this difficult venue and I like Senzatela to continue his progression in front of the home town crowd. Lay the price.
