(MLB) Oakland vs. Minnesota,
Money Line: -123.00 Minnesota (Home)
Result: Loss
Money Line: -123.00 Minnesota (Home)
Result: Loss
The set-up: The Twins broke their longest losing streak of the year with a dramatic 4-3 win last night and I expect them to carry that momentum over here. The home side turns to Jake Odorizzi to keep the good times rolling, while the visitors go with Chris Bassitt.
The pitchers: Bassitt (6-4, 3.98) has won two of his last three starts, but after winning six in a row, I think the A's suffer another letdown here after last night's setback.
Odorizzi (11-4, 3.06 ERA) won his first start back from the break, allowing one run off three hits with two walks over six innings in a victory over the Indians on Saturday.
The pick: Take it for what you will as well, but Oakland is just 10-12 on the road this year when the money line in the contest is set between -125 and +125, while Minnesota is 47-26 vs. right-handed starters. All things considered, I think this is a great price.
8* BALL BASHER on the Twins.
