Detroit has scored more runs than usual in this series. They hung 12 on the board Monday and then four more yesterday. Four runs isn't much, but it's still higher than the Tigers' season average of 3.2 per game. That's last in the league.

Yesterday's game saw Over bettors benefit from extra innings. The Tigers tied things up at 3-3 with a run in the bottom of the ninth. From there, San Diego scored three times in the 10th and eventually won, 6-4.

I expect this to be the lowest scoring game of the series. You've got Yu Darvish starting today for the Padres. Darvish is having a super season and has given up more than three runs only one time in his last eight starts. He's pitched at least six innings in 11 consecutive starts. For the year, Darvish has a 0.97 WHIP.

Tarik Skubal is a pretty good starter as well. The Tigers' lefty allowed just two hits in six innings the last time we saw him and the lone run surrendered was unearned.

San Diego only had six hits yesterday, so they were lucky to score six runs. Given who the starting pitchers are, I expect both offenses to cool off this afternoon. Take the Under.
