Today's D-backs/Royals match-up features a pair of fine starting pitchers; Gallen for Arizona and Singer for KC. Gallen has been exceptional lately with 3 straight 7 inning shutouts. Singer can't quite match that, but has allowed just 3 runs in 19+ innings.

The difference lies in the offense. The Royals are hitting very poorly, scoring three runs or less in 8 of their last 10 games. The D-backs are hitting considerably better. Both bullpens can be an adventure, but the D-backs' pen has been very good at protecting Gallen's leads lately and Gallen throws for very good length. It could be close but I am on the Diamondbacks to win on the road.
