1) The Phillies are going with a bullpen game here and that should lead to plenty of runs for the Mariners here. Philadelphia has been struggling badly including in the runs conceded department!

2) The Mariners are starting Bryce Miller here and he has strong numbers this season but he has had some trouble with allowing big hits to left-handed hitters and that is bad news with facing this slugging Phillies team that has dangerous lefty bats. Miller got rocked by lefties last season and while his BAA versus lefties is better this season, he still is allowing too many homers against them.

3) The Phillies last 4 games have all totaled more than 10 runs. The Mariners have won 5 of 7 games and scored 7 runs per game! 6 of 7 games totaled at least 9 runs. This total is just too low here!
