T.M. Selection: Mets/Angels OVER.

1) The Angels have been trending over on this homestand! 7 of the 10 games got to at least 9 runs and those 7 games averaged 10 runs which is what we need here and which is what I expect without a problem!

2) The Mets start Jose Quintana here and he has strong numbers this season. However, just like so many recent seasons, Quintana has proven not as effective on the road as at home.

3) The Angels start Griffin Canning this afternoon and he went winless with a 7.43 ERA in his 5 July starts. The Mets had won 8 of 11 before yesterday's loss and scored 6.8 runs a game in the 8 victories. I like them to bounce back here but I expect the Angels to get to Quintana also. There is a reason this total has moved from a 9 to a 9.5 and count me in on this one! Follow the money here!
