1) This total has dropped to a solid 6 and that is just too low. Skubal and Kirby both have some great numbers this season but this low of a total certainly requires a deeper dive into the numbers.

2) The total dropped from a 7 to a 6 and Skubal allowed 5 earned runs in his most recent start. That was at home and if we look at his most recent start he survived it nearly unscathed but did allow 10 hits in 7 innings. Skubal is showing some signs he could get hit hard here.

3) Kirby has great numbers this season for Seattle but gave up 7 hits in 5 innings in his most recent start which was on the road. But at home he has also given up 7 hits in 2 of his last 3 starts there. Though his overall numbers are good, when you consider the recent hits allowed and how this total it is, the fact is we have a great value here!
