This is a 10* ART OF WAR on the Kansas City Royals.
We feel that Danny Duffy could/should easily be a much larger fav in this matchup.
Felix Hernandez: He's 5-4 with a 4.28 ERA. Hernandez most recently was shelled for four runs off six hits over 5.1 innings in a no-decision against the Rangers on Monday. "The Kings" peripherals (5.20 FIP and 2.0 HR/9) suggest that rockier times are imminent (note that he's a horrible 1-2 with a 5.40 ERA on the road this year.)
Duffy: He's 7-6 with a 3.42 ERA. Duffy comes in off a dominant July, going 3-2 with a 3.20 ERA and 31:4 K:BB over 39.1 innings of work. While he owns just a 3-3 record at home, he's posted a tiny 2.93 ERA in friendly confines this season.
The bottom line: Note that Seattle is just 23-29 (-1.8 units) on the road this year, while KC is 31-23 (+9 units) at home. In our professional opinion, this is indeed the very definition of "great line value." Play on the ROYALS.
