Neither team has played to many high-scoring affairs this year, but we think that's going to change on Thursday night. The Jaguars most recently beat ULM at home 33-23 last week, while the Panthers are coming off a listless 34-10 home loss to Troy. USA is still 2-1 in league play and last week rolled up 549 yards of offense, with 232 on the ground and 317 through the air. QB Dallas Davis was 30 of 33 for 317 yards, three TD's and an INT. Jaguars' WR Sam Harris was spectacular with 141 receiving yards and a TD. USA's defense lacked though, allowing 488 total yards, including 309 on the ground. The Panthers managed just 307 yards of offense against the Trojans last week. QB Conner Manning had 255 yards, a TD and an INT. Manning is poised for a big day though against one of the FBS's worst pass defenses. Note that South Alabama has seen the total go OVER the number in two of its last three road games when the total in the contest is set between 42.5 and 49 points, while Georgia State has seen the total go OVER the number in two of its las three home games in the same points range.
