After experiencing two very different results against the Islanders, the Rangers will now host New Jersey in another tri-state battle. The Devils will take the split they had with the Bruins to start the year as they scored two goals in each game, both of which were decided by one goal and went into extra time. That’s very different from how the Rangers games went against the Islanders. After a dreadful 4-0 loss to open the year, the Blueshirts rallied back for a 5-0 win in the second game. The Devils easily could have lost both games to the Bruins as they got a late goal in regulation in the first one and then in the rematch, the game-winner came with just seconds left in OT. They were outshot in the two games, which were at home. The Devils are 4-22 SU their L26 Tuesday games while the Rangers are a perfect 9-0 following a game in which they allowed eight or more power play chances. Play on NY RANGERS
