This is a kill spot for the Cubs with a tremendous edge in starting pitching and a deep, rested bullpen.
While Jon Lester is an upper tier pitcher, Oakland's Dillon Overton shouldn't even be in a major league rotation. He holds a 9.33 ERA in four starts and his metrics are just as bad showing that his high ERA isn't a fluke. He's given up a staggering nine homers in 18 1/3 innings.
Overton may have to pitch deeper into the game than normal, too, because the A's bullpen carries a high fatigue rating.
