Schule's 10* MLB NLDS EXECUTIONER - LAD@STL
(MLB) LA Dodgers vs. St. Louis, 10/06/2014 11:00 AM, Score: 1 - 3
Money Line: 100.00 LA Dodgers (Away)
Result: Loss
This is a 10* play on the LAD.

The Cardinals and the Dodgers are tied at 1-1 in this NLDS as Busch Stadium will be the venue for the next two games. The Dodgers picked up a win in the last game thanks to an eighth inning homer from Matt Kemp, and I think the visitors are looking good to make it two in a row tonight.

Hyun-Jin Ryu will toe the slab for the Dodgers after missing almost one month due to a inflamed shoulder. Ryu (14-7, 3.38 ERA) may not mind making his comeback on the road, as he's picked up 10 of his 14 wins this season away from home, registering a 3.03 ERA over 15 starts. We can take his pretty poor September performances with a grain of salt as he clearly was inhibited by his injury, and take comfort in his 2.03 ERA in August instead. And I find it highly unlikely the Dodgers would let him start here if he wasn't 100%.

The Cardinals will hand the ball to John Lackey who's not been at his best lately. Lackey (14-10, 3.82 ERA) saw the Cardinals lose three of his four September starts, with the veteran posting a 4.43 ERA. The right-hander finished the regular season with a respectable 2.94 ERA at home, but he might struggle against the Dodgers tonight as they've won all of their last five road games against a right-handed starter.

Carl Crawford is 2-for-8 so far in this series, but he must like his chances of improving those numbers tonight. He has owned Lackey in previous meetings, going 23-for-48 with two homers and nine RBIs.

Take LAD.
