Schule's 10* MLB Total Recall TERMINATOR - *ALCS*
(MLB) Kansas City vs. Baltimore, 10/10/2014 4:07 PM, Score: 8 - 6
Total: 7.00 | 100.00 Under
Result: Win
This is a 10* play on KC@BAL to go OVER the total.

The Orioles will host the Royals at Camden Yards tonight for the opener of the 2014 ALCS. The Orioles swept the Tigers in their last series, much thanks to their offense as they scored a total of 21 runs over the three games. The Royals swept their series as well, winning three in a row versus the Angels, scoring 15 runs in the process.

Tonight James Shields will toe the slab for the Royals, and despite the Royals winning his two starts he has not really impressed. Shields (14-8, 3.21 ERA) has allowed six runs on 11 hits with three homers over 11 innings, but the Royals offense has helped him out by scoring 17 runs over those two games. The veteran has faced the Orioles twice this season, surrendering five runs on 12 hits over 14 innings of work.

The Orioles will hand the ball to Chris Tillman who has given up a fair amount of runs his last couple of starts. Tillman (13-6, 3.34 ERA) conceded two runs on four hits over five innings against the Tigers eight days ago, but has surrendered eight runs on 20 hits over 18 innings in his last three games. The 26 year old right-hander has performed better in day games than under the lights, where his ERA is 3.56 over 25 starts.

Two of the Royals four, and two of the Orioles three games so far in the post-season have gone over the total. Adam Jones is 2-for-6 in his last two games and is hitting .304 over 46 at bats against Shields.

Take OVER.

Jesse Schule
