Schule's NHL LATE NIGHT SNACK - Top Rated 10*
(NHL) Montreal vs. Vancouver, 10/30/2014 5:30 PM, Score: 2 - 3
Money Line: -125.00 Vancouver (Home)
Result: Win
This is a 10* play on the Vancouver Canucks.

The Canucks inability to find the net was a big reason why they missed the playoffs last season. They have had no troubles lighting the lamp this season though, and will be looking to keep that offense going tonight as they have an opportunity to record a third home win in five days.

The decision to pair up Radim Vrbata with the Sedin twins has proved to be a successful one, with each player producing 11 points so far this season and Daniel ranking third in the league with his nine assists. Another reason for the Canucks offensive surge is their power play. They were ranked near the bottom last season, but have now scored eight goals over their first nine games taking advantage of more than 22% of their chances with a man advantage.

Vancouver has only allowed three goals in the last two games, and Ryan Miller has really found his feet at his new club going 6-1-0 behind a 2.33 GAA. He picked up his 300th career victory on Tuesday as he stopped 29 of 30 shots, but I doubt the 34 year old will be relying on old merits and that he will be as motivated for this game as he was in his debut 12 years ago.

The Canadiens will conclude a three game all Canadian road trip here, dropping the first game at Edmonton 3-0 followed up by a 2-1 shootout win at Calgary. They have only won three of the last eight meetings in Vancouver though, and might find themselves leaving town without any points tonight.

Take VAN.
