Here is what I said prior to the Coyotes 6-2 win over Columbus: "Neither of these teams are heading to the playoffs, so who is going to be motivated here in Arizona? Well the Coyotes have been competitive at home all year long, and they do have a winning record on home ice. They may have added motivation tonight with the son of Coyotes legend Shane Doan making his NHL debut. The former collegiate player leads all rookies in the AHL with 26 goals and 46 points for the Tuscon Roadrunners. The Coyotes have won three straight head to head versus the Jackets. Columbus has lost eight of it's last 10 overall and five straight on the road." Doan scored two goals in his debut, and the Yotes should be all fired up here as he gets set to play his second career game in the NHL. I like Arizona as a home dog.
