Schule's NHL Wild Wild West - S-H-O-O-T-O-U-T! 10-5 L15 NHL
(NHL) Florida vs. Los Angeles, 11/18/2014 5:30 PM, Score: 2 - 5
Money Line: -172.00 Los Angeles (Home)
Result: Win
This is an 8* play on the Los Angeles Kings.

The Los Angeles Kings, holder of the best home record in the NHL this season should fear no team at STAPLES Center, especially not a rather tame Panthers squad. The visitors opened a four game road trip with a 6-2 win in Anaheim on Sunday, but might struggle to continue their success in California tonight.

The Panthers had dropped three of their last four on the road prior to the win against the Ducks and have struggled away against LAK lately, leaving town as loser in each of their last five visits. They have struggled to find the net all season long averaging a lowly 2.2 goals per game for the fourth worst record in the league, but have been able to stay competitive thanks to Roberto Luongo. They might not be able to count on him tonight though, the veteran has lost all of his last five match-ups with the Kings behind a 3.25 GAA.

The Kings last opponent was the Ducks as well as they won the battle of LA 3-2 in overtime Saturday. Admittedly the Kings are not known for their goalscoring ability either, but they do have one of the leagues best defenses ranking fifth in the league conceding only 2.11 goals per game on average. Jonathan Quick shut out the Panthers in a 4-0 victory on March 22, and is 4-1-0 with a 1.69 GAA against tonight's opponent.

The Kings went 2-for-3 on the power play against the Ducks, and more goals on the power play is in the cards tonight against Florida's less than convincing penalty kill.

Take LAK.
