The Sens are without a doubt the hottest team in the NHL, and they host one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference tonight in a must win hockey game. Here is what I said prior to one of Ottawa's recent games: "The Senators are the hottest team in National Hockey League with a record of 10-1-1 over their last 12 games. This incredible run has put them right back into the playoff race, trailing the eighth place Bruins by just five points in the Eastern Conference standings. Tonight's game will be a must win for the visitors, but with goaltending phenom Andrew Hammond between the pipes, you have to like their chances. Hammond came in to replace the injured Craig Anderson back on February 18th, and he's since gone 10-0-1 with a 1.39 GAA. He hasn't allowed more than two goal in any of his 11 starts, and he has a pair of shutouts already." The Rangers have a hot goaltender of their own in backup Cam Talbot, who is 15-4-3 with a 2.21 GAA since Henrik Lundqvist went down with a neck injury.
