The Jets are involved in a war for the final playoff spot in the West, sitting in the seventh spot, with just a two point cushion on ninth place LA. Every game from here on out will be a must win for the Jets, especially the way the rest of the teams in the race have been playing. Montreal will have absolutely no sympathy though, as they are in a battle for the league's best record, and home ice advantage throughout the playoffs. This game is a high stakes affair, and the atmosphere at the MTS Center should be that of what you would expect at a playoff game. Both these clubs come in riding hot goaltenders, with Carey Price the favorite for the Vezina, and Ondrej Pavelec seemingly winning his job back in Winnipeg. Pavelec is 6-0 with a 0.98 GAA in his last six starts, and the Jets lost in Vancouver with Pavelec on the bench on Tuesday. Price though is 9-2-0 with a 1.55 GAA in his last 11 starts versus the Jets, so we should be expecting a goaltender's duel tonight.
