The Florida Panthers are running out of time as they try to sneak into the playoffs. They trail eighth place Ottawa by five points with just eight games remaining. Montreal will have absolutely no sympathy though, as they are in a battle for the league's best record, and home ice advantage throughout the playoffs. This game is a high stakes affair, and the atmosphere at the Bell Center should be that of what you would expect at a playoff game. Both these clubs come in riding hot goaltenders, with Carey Price the favorite for the Vezina, and Roberto Luongo who has held the opposition to one goal or less in four of his last five appearances. Price is 4-0 with a 0.75 GAA in his last four starts versus Florida, and the Habs are 24-8-5 in Montreal this season. Montreal has won four of the last five meetings in this series, and not one of those games saw more than five goals scored.
