This is a 5* play on the Calgary Flames +1.5.
The Flames just won't go away in the race for the final playoff spot in the West. They went into Nashville on Sunday and lit up the Preds in a 5-2 win that puts them back in the eighth spot just one point ahead of the Kings. Los Angeles has a game in hand though, so you can bet this is going to be a dog fight that goes right up until the final day of the regular season. The Stars are five points back, and they are still talking like they have a chance: "(The hope) is still there," said Jamie Benn. "A lot of people are saying this, but you just take it a game at a time. We are going to need some help, and we just need to keep winning these games and we'll see what happens." The reality is that even a win over the Flames tonight might not gain them any ground if Los Angeles wins. The way both (Calgary and Los Angeles) have been playing, it would be impossible for Dallas to make up the difference with just seven games remaining. Especially with the two teams playing each other next week, that's a guaranteed two points for at least one them. We should see the Flames play a more desperate brand of hockey, and I like their chances of keeping it close at the very least.
