(MLB) San Diego vs. LA Dodgers, 04/07/2015 6:10 PM, Score: 7 - 3
Money Line: -156.00 LA Dodgers (Home)
Result: Loss
This is an 8* play on the L.A. Dodgers.

The San Diego Padres lost 6-3 in the season opener against the Dodgers yesterday, and I think they're in for another defeat tonight as they'll face Zack Greinke on the mound.

Greinke (17-8, 2.71 ERA) is coming off a dominant 2014 where he was 10-2 behind a 2.55 ERA over 15 outings at Dodger Stadium. He was 1-0 over two starts against the Padres as he gave up only three runs on six hits over 13 innings and he's 4-0 with a 1.84 ERA in seven career starts against San Diego for his career.

The Padres will hand the ball to Tyson Ross who had a great season last year as well, but is coming up against a nightmare opponent of his tonight. Ross (13-14, 2.81 ERA) is 0-4 with a 2.45 ERA in six starts against the Dodgers lifetime and lost each of his four starts against the club last season. While Ross' 2014 overall numbers look impressive at first glance, keep in mind that he was a lowly 5-9 with a 3.79 ERA over 16 starts away from home.

While the Padres may have boosted their rather toothless line-up with Matt Kemp among others, I don't think there's much they can do when coming up against quality pitchers such as Greinke. They're 1-6 in their last seven road games against a right-handed starter and have lost four of the last five match-ups at Dodger Stadium.

Take LAD.
