The A's and the Rangers have split the first two games of this series in Oakland, and the rubber match goes tonight. I like the home team as they appear to have a favorable matchup on the mound.
Scott Kazmir will toe the slab for the A's, and he is coming off a fantastic spring. The veteran was 8-4 with a 3.62 ERA 16 start at home last season. He was successful against Texas as well, going 3-1 with a 4.22 ERA in four starts.
The Rangers hand the ball to Ross Detwiler, who has struggled to stay in a major league rotation the last few years. The left-hander doesn't have a lot of upside, and rarely goes deep into ballgames.
The A's should get a good crack at that Texas bullpen tonight, which likely spells trouble for the Rangers.
