The Dodgers got six strong innings from Zack Greinke last night, but with a 2-1 lead and two outs in the seventh inning, Jimmy Rollins dropped a pop fly that allowed the Padres to tie the game. Things only went downhill from there, and I like San Diego's chances again tonight with what looks like a pitching mismatch.
Andrew Cashner will toe the slab for the visitors, and he had great numbers in three starts versus the Dodgers last year. The right-hander was 1-0 with a 1.89 ERA, surrendering just four runs while striking out 15 over 19 innings.
The Dodgers hand the ball to Brandon McCarthy, who finished last year strong with the Yankees. He had some pretty ugly numbers in the first half of the season though, and he was 0-5 with a 5.38 ERA last April. He was tagged for six runs in his final appearance this spring, he could be in for another rough ride.
