(MLB) NY Mets vs. Washington, 04/09/2015 9:05 AM, Score: 6 - 3
Money Line: 115.00 NY Mets (Away)
Result: Win
This is a 10* play on the NYM.

The Washington Nationals came into the season with lofty expectations, but the Mets played spoiler on Opening Day. Washington tied the series, but I like the Mets as an underdog here in the rubber match.

Matt Harvey will toe the slab for the visitors, and he's coming off a very encouraging spring training. The 26 year old was 1-1 with a 1.19 ERA in six starts this spring, and he struck out 21 batters in 22.2 innings pitched. He tossed eight scoreless innings in his only career start at Nationals Park back in 2013. and he's 1-0 with a 0.82 ERA in three career starts versus Washington.

The Nats hand the ball to Stephen Strasburg, who's final start of the spring came against these very same Mets. He didn't look all that impressive, surrendering four runs on four hits over four innings.

Harvey will be working with a rather conservative pitch count, so the Mets bullpen is going to have to get the job done in the later innings. Mets hurlers won't have to face Jason Werth, Dernard Span and Anthony Rendon, who are all on the DL.

Take NYM.
