This is a 10* play on the Montreal Canadiens.
The Habs will host the Lightning in a rematch of last year's first round series. Montreal won that series in a four game sweep, but Tampa did win all five regular season meetings between the two teams this season. I am not going to put much stock in what happened in the regular season, as I think last year's playoff series gives a more accurate assessment of what to expect here in this series. The Habs have the better defense, and the best goaltender in the World in Carey Price. Tampa's offense was often stymied in their series versus Detroit, and Ben Bishop was inconsistent. The Lightning were fortunate that they had home ice in Game 7 against Detroit, and here in this series the Habs have home ice. I don't often put so much emphasis on who's home and away, but in this case, the Bolts are clearly better in Tampa than they are on the road.
