The Texas Rangers picked up just their third home win of the season last night, and they needed to rally for four runs in the seventh inning to tie it, before winning in the 10th. They aren't likely to enjoy the same good fortune this afternoon, facing one of the best young pitchers in the game.

Sonny Gray will toe the slab for the A's, and he's been light's out so far this season. Gray (3-0, 1.98 ERA) allowed a pair of runs on six hits over eight innings in a win over the Angels his last time out. He faced Texas in his first start of the season, and he went eight innings surrendering just one hit in an 8-0 victory.

The Rangers hand the ball to Yovani Gallardo, who wasn't sharp in his last start. Gallardo (2-3, 4.05 ERA) gave up three runs on three hits and three walks over six innings in a loss to Seattle his last time out. He's faced Oakland only once over the last three seasons, allowing five runs on six hits over six innings in a loss.

Ben Zobrist is 3-for-5 with a home run and a pair of RBIs lifetime versus Gallardo.
