Schule's MLB MERCHANT of DEATH - **EARLY START**
(MLB) Milwaukee vs. Chi Cubs, 05/03/2015 10:20 AM, Score: 5 - 3
Money Line: -147.00 Chi Cubs (Home)
Result: Loss
This is an 8* play on the Chicago Cubs.

The Brewers picked up a rare win at Wrigley yesterday, but they still own the worst record in the majors, and I don't fancy their chances in the rubber match in Chicago this afternoon.

Jason Hammel will toe the slab for the Cubbies, and he's coming off a solid performance in his last start. Hammel (2-1, 3.55 ERA) tossed eight scoreless innings, allowing just four hits in a home win over the Pirates. He was 6-2 with a 2.42 ERA in a dozen starts at home last year, although not all of those came at Wrigley, as he was traded to Oakland midway through the season.

The Brewers hand the ball to Jimmy Nelson, who was roughed up pretty good in his last start. Nelson (1-2, 4.03 ERA) was torched for seven runs on six hits and five walks over just 2 1/3 innings in a loss to Cincy his last time out. The kid doesn't like pitching against the Cubs, he was 0-2 with a 6.97 ERA in two starts versus Chicago last season.

Chris Coghlan was 4-for-6 with a home run in those two games.

Take CHC.
