Result: Win
This is an 8* play on the Seattle Mariners.

The Mariners and the Angels were supposed to be the two teams battling for the top spot in the AL West, but neither team has lived up to expectations. They play Game 1 of a three game set in Anaheim tonight, and I like the visitors with their ace on the mound.

Felix Hernandez will toe the slab for Seattle, and he's once again looking like a Cy Young candidate. Hernandez (4-0, 1.82 ERA) allowed a pair of runs on five hits over 6 2/3 innings in a win at Texas his last time out. He's 1-0 with a 3.27 ERA in seven starts in Anaheim over the last three seasons.

The Halos hand the ball to Matt Shoemaker, who hasn't looked as sharp as he was a year ago. Shoemaker (2-1, 6.00 ERA) allowed three runs on six hits over 5 2/3 innings in a no decision at Oakland his last time out. He's only had one start at home so far this season, and he was rocked for five runs on seven hits over just three innings in a loss to Oakland.

Nelson Cruz continues to swing a hot bat for the Mariners, hitting .343 with a major league best 13 home runs and 25 RBIs.

Take SEA.
