Money Line: -128.00 LA Angels (Home)
Result: Win
This is a 10* play on the LAA.
The Angels won in dramatic fashion last night, evening this series at 1-1 heading into tonight's rubber match. I like the home team here tonight with a more experienced starter on the mound.
C.J. Wilson will toe the slab for the Halos, and he's pitched better than his record would indicate. Wilson (1-2, 273 ERA) tossed eight scoreless innings allowing just two hits in a win over the Mariners in his season debut, but hasn't been able to win since. It hasn't been a problem with his pitching, but rather a lack of run support. That might not be an issue tonight, with a struggling pitcher on the hill for Seattle.
The Mariners hand the ball to Roenis Elias, who is filling in for Hisashi Iwakuma. Elias (0-1, 3.86 ERA) allowed three runs on six hits and three walks in six innings in a loss to Houston his last time out. He was 0-2 with a 5.65 ERA in three appearances versus L.A. last season.
David Freese 3-for-6 lifetime versus Elias, and he leads the team with 19 RBIs so far this season.
Take LAA.
