The Astros are still the the top team in the AL West, with a five game lead on the second place Halos. I like Houston in tonight's game, as they have a clear mismatch on the mound in their favor.
Dallas Keuchel will toe the slab for Houston, and he's leading the major leagues with a 0.80 ERA. Keuchel (3-0, 0.80 ERA) allowed one run on five hits, striking out eight in eight innings in a no decision versus Texas his last time out. All five of his starts are similar, with excellent numbers across the board.
The Angels hand the ball to Matt Shoemaker, who hasn't been as good as he was in 2014. Shoemaker (2-2, 5.40 ERA) allowed three runs on four hits over 7 1/3 innings in a loss to Seattle his last time out. H's now allowed eight runs on 11 hits over 10 1/3 innings in two starts at home this season.
Last year's AL batting champ Jose Altuve is 4-for-8 in this series so far, and he's 3-for-5 lifetime versus Shoemaker.
