The A's are 3-5 on this current road trip, but four of those five losses have come by just one run, which would give them a record of 7-1 if you played them on the runline. That's exactly what I have in mind tonight, as another close game at Safeco seems a likely scenario.

J.A. Happ will toe the slab for M's, and he's coming off his worst start of the season. Happ (2-1, 3.51 ERA) was torched for six runs on seven hits over six innings in a loss at Houston. Happ hasn't really been any better at Safeco than he has been on the road, and he was 0-1 with a 9.00 ERA in two starts in Seattle prior to this season.

The A's hand the ball to Jesse Hahn, who also comes off a disappointing performance. Hahn (1-2, 4.33 ERA) allowed six runs on 10 hits over five innings in a loss at Minnesota his last time out.

Hahn has pitched well against Seattle in the past, and I like his chances of having a decent showing in this pitcher's park.
