(MLB) Oakland vs. Houston, 05/18/2015 4:10 PM, Score: 2 - 1
Point Spread: 1.50 | -181.00 Oakland (Away)
Result: Win
This is a 5* play on the Oakland Athletics +1.5.

The A's are in a real slump, coming into Houston today as losers of 10 of their last 11. Six of those 10 losses came in one run ball games, and I like Oakland here as an underdog against an untested rookie pitcher.

Lance McCullers will make his major league debut, coming straight out of Double-A. The 21 year old was called up to replace Brett Oberholtzer, who is dealing with a blister. His numbers with Corpus Christie were pretty impressive (0.62 ERA in six appearances), but that's hardly comparable to facing a major league lineup.

The A's hand the ball to Drew Pomeranz, who picked up a win his last time out. Pomeranz (2-3, 4.42 ERA) allowed a pair of runs on just three hits over seven innings in a win over Boston his last time out. He'd previously appeared in three straight losses, but all of those games were decided by one run. Prior to this season he made one start at Minute Maid Park, allowing a single run over seven innings in a victory.

Take OAK.
