Lakers vs. Suns Free Pick
(NBA) LA Lakers vs. Phoenix, 10/29/2014 6:00 PM, Score: 99 - 119
Point Spread: 12.50 | -102.00 LA Lakers (Away)
Result: Loss
It was a tough Opening Night for the Lakers, not only losing big to the Rockets, but losing rookie Julius Randle who suffered a broken leg. Kobe and company play their second game in as many nights in Phoenix, and the overnight line has them as a double-digit dog. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Lakers keep it close though, and I'll take the points.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Previous History - The Suns are 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings, but L.A. has covered in the last two, winning one of those outright. None of those seven ATS victories saw them favored by double-digits.

2. Carlos Boozer - The veteran power forward played well in the opener, scoring 17 points and pulling down seven boards. He scored 19 points with a dozen rebounds in his last game in Phoenix, and I expect him to pick up the slack for the injury ravaged Lakers.

3. X-Factor - The Suns are 5-5 in their last 10, and only two of those five wins came by double-digits.
