Rogers' *10* PRIME CUT
(NFL) Seattle vs. Los Angeles, 09/18/2016 12:05 PM, Score: 3 - 9
Point Spread: -6.00 | -105.00 Seattle (Away)
Result: Loss
Seattle: The Seahawks escaped in Week 1 with a 12-10 win at home over the Dolphins, as a 10 1/2-point favorite. QB Russell Wilson, despite playing on a right ankle that he had twisted badly in the third quarter, led Seattle on a 75-yard TD drive (kept alive by two fourth-down conversions), capped by a TD pass with 31 seconds left. With Lynch retired, RBs Christine Michael and Thomas Rawls gained a modest 98 yards and those two need to do better in establishing a proficient running attack. However, there was nothing shaky about Seattle's defense, which entered the season having allowed the fewest points in the league for the FOURTH straight year in 2015. Seattle finished No. 2 overall in total D (291.8 YPG) and No. 1 in rush defense (81.5 YPG / 3.6 YPC). Against the Dolphins, Seattle held Miami to just 214 yards on 11 FDs (Dolphins convert just 3 of 14 3rd downs and were 0-1 in their lone 4th-down try).

LA Rams: The only way to describe the Ram's performance Monday night in San Francisco would be "embarrassing,"especially on offense. LA was held to 185 yards of total offense, with star RB Todd Gurley getting held to only 47 yards on 17 carries and QB Case Keenum, starting for No. 1 overall pick Jared Goff (who watched from the sideline in street clothes), completing 17 of 35 for 130 yards and two INTs (his QB rating was 34.2!). The Rams punted 10 times and had two turnovers on their first 12 possessions. "That wasn't what we expected, certainly not what I expected for the first game back in L.A.," said Rams head coach Jeff Fisher, who received a three-year contract extension on Thursday. "We have some work to do obviously." The Rams hope to rebound from their MNF debacle vs. Seahawks (good luck!).

The pick: Wilson's game-winning TD pass in Week 1 ups his streak to 17 straight games in which he's has thrown at least one TD pass. As for LA's QB situation, Fisher has acknowledged that Keenum is on a short leash but he enters Sunday's game as the starter. Yes, the Rams make their LA home debut re-debut?) but it's VERY rare to find the Seahawks in a double revenge spot. However, that is the case on Sunday, as the Rams defeated the Seahawks twice last season, winning 34-31 in St. Louis and 23-17 in Seattle. The Seahawks are a 10* play.
