Framber Valdez has a 2.04 ERA in 12 road starts this season. The Astros are also 11-4 straight up in Valdez's last 15 starts. Valdez is also 3-0 lifetime in three career starts against Cleveland. While runs will be hard to come by for the Guardians against Valdez and the Astros pen, this could be a big night for the Houston hitters.
It could be baptism by fire, as Cleveland is set to have Hunter Gaddis make his MLB debut. Gaddis posted a 4.24 ERA in 15 double-AA appearances this season before making his last two starts in AAA. With a -120 price tag, the Astros runline have great value again.
