The spread is ugly, but this line still has the best Week 0 value. SMU went 11-3 last season and has one of the most experienced teams in the nation on paper coming into this year. The Mustangs could be a dark horse for a playoff spot this season and should be looking to make a statement early. With Houston Christian on deck next week, I don't expect them to overlook the season opener.

On the other side, Nevada projects to be a bottom-15 FBS team, similar to last season. Nevada is 4-20 straight up in the previous two seasons, which included losing to Idaho by 27 points at home last season.
