The perception is that these are two explosive offensive teams, but that is has not been the case in the MAC.
Kent State has key injuries on the offensive side of the ball, including one of the top receivers in the MAC Dante Cephas who may or may not go tonight. If you eliminate overtime, Kent State is averaging 26.4 ppg in MAC action. Bowling Green has not fared well offensively in midweek games over the past three seasons and has failed to score more than 17 points in three of its last four games this season. The Falcons' defense has been strong however and ranks seventh in the nation in sacks. This is a big home game for Bowling Green as they still have a shot at the MAC championship. The Falcons do not want this game to be high scoring and will control the tempo.
