The Chicago Cubs remain undefeated since the All Star break following a 5-1 win against the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday. I think we'll see some quality pitching from both sides here in the finale of this three-game series.
The Braves hand the ball to R.A. Dickey (6-5, 4.08) who has allowed just four earned runs through 33 innings of work in his past five outings. Only three current Cubs hitters have any experience against him (Heyward, Jay, Zobrist), batting a combined .209 over 67 at bats.
The Cubs turn to left-hander Mike Montgomery (1-6, 4.01 ERA) who has struggled in recent starts, but I think he should be able to handle a Braves team that has scored just four runs so far in this series. Under is 4-1 in Braves last five games vs. a left-handed starter.
