The white hot Detroit Tigers have turned into a force to be reckoned with as a recent hot streak has seen them climb just two games back of the Cleveland Indians in the AL Central. They've won 10 of their past 12 games and each of their past four series heading into Seattle for the opener of a three-game set tonight.

Michael Fulmer (9-2, 2.42 ERA) takes the ball for this contest. The 23 year old rookie is 7-2 with a 2.88 ERA in 12 starts away from home. The Tigers have won all but two of his 17 starts overall this season and each of his past seven, a stretch that started when he held the Mariners to one run on three hits through 4 1/3 innings of a 5-1 win home at Comerica Park on June 22.

Seattle turns to Hisashi Iwakuma (12-7, 3.99) who's coming off 7 1/3 scoreless innings against Boston. The Red Sox's bats have been cold though, and now he'll instead face a Tigers team that has batted .292 so far this month. Iwakuma was knocked around for five runs on 11 hits and three walks in 4 2/3 innings when he tossed opposite Fulmer back in June. Miguel Cabrera (4-for-10, two homers), Nick Castellanos (5-for-10, one homer) and Victor Martinez (6-for-15, two homers) are just a few Tigers with good numbers against the right-hander.

The Tigers swept a four-game series with the Mariners back in June, and I like them to keep dominating the Ms.
