I'm playing on SEATTLE. The Rockies are almost always terrible on the road. They're 5-27 away from Colorado. The Mariners, by comparison, are a healthy 23-15 at home. Tonight, in addition to the venue and an advantage in the bullpen, the M's have a starter in far better current form. Flexen tossed eight shutout innings last time out. He's got a stellar 2.16 ERA and 1.016 WHIP at home, averaging six innings. Seattle is 5-2 when he takes the mound here. On the other hand, Freeland is 0-2 with a 9.58 ERA and an obscene 2.274 WHIP in five starts this season. Over his last three, his ERA climbs to 12.79, the WHIP rising to 2.447. Freeland may have had success here in the past but its hard to just flip a switch and suddenly be good; he's given up nine HR's his last three starts. Overall, Seattle has won four straight with Flexen on the mound, going 7-1 his last eight starts. Expect another Seattle win tonight.
