The 2023-24 edition of the EPL kicks off with its first round of matches this week as Burnley squares off vs Pep Guardiola's Manchester City in an important match at Turf Moor on Friday. Man City made history by winning the treble last year and have been fantastic under Pep Guardiola in recent years. The reigning EPL champions suffered a loss on penalties in the FA Community Shield game vs Arsenal in their prior game and will need to bounce-back here. Burnley dominated the Championship last year and will look to begin their campaign on a positive note. The newly-promoted outfit played out a 1-1 draw against Real Betis last week and would love to hand the Citizens a loss here. Burnley has shown massive improvement under Vincent Kompany, but we just don't think it will be enough vs the likes of Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne, who can turn it on at any moment. We actually like the over a decent amount here, however we will stick with the side as Man City comes off the disappointing performance vs Arsenal, and we think they bounce-back here nicely.
