Georgia St has started 3-0, after a bad 2022 season. the Panthers ground game ranks 54th in SP+, which is good for a Group of Five outfit. However, the defense ranks 113th, which is bad for any kind of program. Senior quarterback Darren Grainger is a threat to run and pass for Georgia State. He has completed 73.4% of his passes, for 803 yards and 6 TD's. He has not thrown an interception, and on the ground, he has been just as effective, rushing 34 times for 216 yards and two TD's. In their win over the Charlotte 49ers, he completed 27 of 33 passes for 466 yards and three scores. We think they show up offensively here and are an active dog and move the ball, and score, at least enough to hang tough with Coastal Carolina. Let's roll with Georgia St.
